A local Chinese establishment failed its most recent inspection by the Grayson County Health Department. Taste of China, 4801 Texoma Pkwy, Sherman, failed its inspection on Dec. 12.
For more than 20 years, development along the shores of Lake Texoma was a constant, if sometimes distant, goal for the city of Denison. While the project has been seen for some time as the future of growth in Denison, details on how the portions of the project will be funded are beginning to come into focus.
Denison could soon have a new tool in recruiting international companies to the city. The city council agreed unanimously Monday to support the reestablishment of a foreign trade zone that would offer some relief for tariffs, taxes and customs for imports for businesses within the zone.

With the National Weather Service predicting below freezing temperatures for the remainder of the week and the possibility of up to six inches of snow on Thursday, the Salvation Army has opened its doors to anyone in need of a warm place to stay.
Sparklight®, a leading broadband provider, recently awarded grants totaling $8,400 to Meals on Wheels of Texoma and Fairview Elementary School through the company’s Charitable Giving Fund. The organizations were two of 24 nonprofits across Sparklight’s 24-state footprint that received grants totaling more than $125,000 during the most recent award period.
