PENN YAN - The 19th Annual New York Haiti Benefit Auction will be held June 16-17 at the Yates County Fair Grounds in Penn Yan. The auction is a cooperative effort of many churches and individuals to bring relief to the hungry, sick, naked, and homeless of Haiti. And 100% of the event’s proceeds go directly to Haiti for relief.
KEUKA PARK — The Keuka College Department of Athletics has announced that Ty Trombley has been named the new Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Keuka College. Trombley served as the Interim Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach for the 2023 season and was an assistant coach at Keuka College for the four years prior.

Robert Griffin of Pottsboro, Texas passed away on May 28, 2023 at the age of 33 as a result of complications from a staph infection. He was born on March 30, 1990 in Dallas, Texas to Harry and Julie Cloud Griffin. Robert was loved by all and hated by none. Growing up, Robert was in the gifted and talented program in the Pottsboro School District. He was an intelligent and athletic person. He excelled in sports and was a part of the basketball all-star team and held the record for 103 consecutive free throws. He was honored with scholarships for his athletic abilities. He had the uncanny ability to fix and repair anything. He was a person with many talents including welding, woodworking, artwork, computers, and music.
Elizabeth Ann Homer Riddels, 96, of Sherman, Texa s pa s s ed away peacefully on May 31st, 2023. Elizabeth was born on October 23, 1926, in Henryetta, Oklahoma to George and Ruth Homer.
