They say that time flies when you are having fun. I like to believe that time follows its own rules about how quickly it seems to pass by.

They say that time flies when you are having fun. I like to believe that time follows its own rules about how quickly it seems to pass by.

I was sitting at the exercise bike trying to do 20 minutes of work on a knee that was protesting greatly when I heard a loud bark. Dogs aren't uncommon so I didn't think anything about it.

Hobby Lobby seems to get the most of my business during the fall season. It does not just apply to Hobby Lobby, but all crafting stores seem to get a lot of my dollars in the fall.

Now that it is over, I can say the late summer has been a lot. A normal late summer season for me would include back-to-school time, the beginning of festival season, a lot of Saturday activities and a lot of crafting.

I've said it before, but time has a weird way of passing by both simultaneously faster and slower than you'd expect. Sometimes it does this at the exact same time, much to my confusion.

This is the first week it has really felt like fall. The wind has been blowing. The morning temperatures have been just right. And, it seems like the area is finally taking a breath as we slow down coming into the final months of the year.

From the time I could read as a young child, I have had my eye on the birthday column in the Herald Democrat. Sitting just below the Good Morning column, the birthdays were not just a celebration of my day when it came around each year, it was a time to see so many other names.

The old saying goes that a picture is worth a thousand words. However, as a print journalist, I've always given a bit more credit for the written word.
