When Karon joined Girl Scouts in grade school, Glenna became a volunteer as troop leader for six years, cookie chairman, day camp director, neighborhood chairman, and district chairman for the Southeast Texas Girl Scout Council. She later worked in retail and medical billing for a hospital and medical clinic in Galveston. After retirement, she and John enjoyed going to dinner (catfish) and playing cards with friends on Friday nights and traveling to Utah to visit her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Glenna was easy to love and had many friends through the years. She was a great listener and was genuinely loving and concerned about her friends and family. Glenna and John moved to Roosevelt where they enjoyed spending time with family. It was a blessing to have them near and enjoy family time laughing and hearing family stories.
