Juanita Mitchell Stephens was born on June 30, 1933 to W.A. ‘Tuck’ Mitchell and Molly Minerva ‘Aunt Nervie’ Smart Mitchell in Panhandle, TX. She passed on November 20, 2022 in Plano, TX. She married Bobby Jack Stephens on July 13, 1953. After moving around Juanita and Bob settled in Sherman/Pottsboro area. Juanita enjoyed Bob’s career in the newspaper business getting to go to conventions where they met many life-long friends! She worked beside Bob when they decided to buy an auto parts store in 1981. Together, they ran Stephens Auto Supply, for 20 years in Pottsboro. ‘I’m sorry’, her most used words ever spoken. Lovingly, she was referred to as the sorriest woman on earth. She was sorry for everything that ever happened to anyone. Oh how she loved all sports from the Mavericks, to the Rangers, and of course the Cowboys. She would change the channel to avoid seeing one of her beloved teams lose. She loved high school football including Football Friday with Greg Tepper and Coach Ken Purcell. She followed her beloved Panhandle Panthers and others where family had previously lived such as Brownwood Lions, Sherman Bearcats, Port Arthur-now Memorial, but those TJ Yellow Jackets were a special team in 1980. She kept up with the Mount Pleasant Tigers and of course our Pottsboro Cardinals. She is proceeded in death by her husband Bob of almost 66 years, her parents and two brothers (W.A. and Coy Don), two sister in-laws (Peggy Hagle and Nicki Mitchell), two brother in-laws (Glen Hagle and Bill Stephens). Juanita is survived by those she loved fiercely daughters Debbie Lee (Todd) of The Colony and Deana Stephens of Pottsboro. Granddaughters Kristi Freeman of Corinth and Kelli Glenn (Matthew) of Mount Pleasant. Great-grandchildren Bobby Freeman (Rocky), Michael Freeman (Tessa), Peyton and Walker Glenn. Great-Great grandchildren Jonathan, Ally, Kane, Nikolas, Lily, and Josi. Also, two bonus grandchildren she loved as her own and the kids Deana never had Thomas
