Sherman City Manager Robby Hefton is calling it a career after leading the city's development for the past decade. Hefton announced his intent to retire from the city Tuesday evening in an email to city staff.

During this week's meeting, Grayson County commissioner's court received an update the Grayson County thoroughfare plan. No action was taken on the plan, but commissioners and members of the community spoke on the plan, its use and how the plan may help to address concerns related to future growth and development in the region.
