SISD could break 12,000 student enrollment within a decade, demographic report finds

Sherman Independent School District is projected to have more see an enrollment of more than 10,000 students by 2030, according the recent demographic estimates. The school board received its annual demographic report last week which outlined expected growth over the next decade that could result in more than 12,500 students enrolled within the district by the 2034-2035 school year.

SISD school board talks early childhood center design

During Monday’s meeting of the Sherman Independent School District's Board of Trustees, a construction update was focused primarily on the construction of three new campuses: the recently-named David and Paula Parker Elementary and the rebuilds of Crutchfield and Fairview Elementary Schools. Following the planned discussions, the conversation took a turn towards the progress on the early childhood center.

Sherman releases findings of annual racial profiling report

The Sherman Police Department has released the findings of a report on officer interactions with motorists during traffic stops through 2024. The report, which is conducted each year is a requirement of the Texas Racial Profiling Law, outlines the demographic data of police stops in an effort to identify and respond to concerns of racial profiling practices in law enforcement practices.
