This Sunday is traditionally known as Palm Sunday, the day when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey to the praise of the Passover crowd. Much is made of the palm branches, the shouts of Hosanna, the objection of the Pharisees, but overlooked in the story is owner of the donkey.

Speaker Pelosi COVID-19 positive

WASHINGTON – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tested positive for COVID-19, a day after appearing unmasked at a White House event with President Joe Biden. Pelosi received a positive test result for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic, her spokesman Drew Hammill said Thursday in a tweet.

Last week a gentleman came into the office to sign some papers. I consider this individual a friend, so I feel equipped to speak to his overall personality. Although I do not know the details of his life, I know enough to recognize that he is kind and caring. He loves Jesus, his family, and others. And in the moments that I have observed his behaviors outside of communicating with me, I have spotted a pattern of actively listening, pacing his conversations with positive intention, and believing in others. My hope is that he believes in himself just as much and listens to the gentle call upon his heart. There have been moments that I have spotted a tired sadness in him, a weight cloaked by a smile and a pleasant voice. I may never know what weighs him down, but I can tell you at least one thing that lifts him.

Denison acquires new ambulances

As Denison works to bring back EMS service to in-house control, city leaders have taken steps to acquire new ambulances for first responders. The City Council voted unanimously Monday night to approve $975,000 in loans for the acquisition of three ambulances for the service.
