Last week a gentleman came into the office to sign some papers. I consider this individual a friend, so I feel equipped to speak to his overall personality. Although I do not know the details of his life, I know enough to recognize that he is kind and caring. He loves Jesus, his family, and others. And in the moments that I have observed his behaviors outside of communicating with me, I have spotted a pattern of actively listening, pacing his conversations with positive intention, and believing in others. My hope is that he believes in himself just as much and listens to the gentle call upon his heart. There have been moments that I have spotted a tired sadness in him, a weight cloaked by a smile and a pleasant voice. I may never know what weighs him down, but I can tell you at least one thing that lifts him.
