Sherman on schedule for water, wastewater capital projects

As Texas Instruments and GlobalWafers prepare to ramp up production of semiconductors and silicon wafers in the city, the Sherman leadership is preparing to ramp up city utility services to meet this new need. City leaders received an update this week on ongoing water, sewer and utility projects from Pape-Dawson and a timetable of when some of the city's ongoing utility projects could be put into operation.

SISD Honors 2024-25 Teachers, Staff and Volunteer of the Year

Sherman ISD is proud to recognize outstanding employees as our 2024-25 Teachers and Staff of the Year! All honorees received $500 from First Texoma National Bank, and the Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year each received a car from Sherman Chevrolet to drive for a year! In addition, the district honored a parent volunteer who goes above and beyond to serve and support his school. Elementary Teacher of the Year - Elizabeth Penaloza, Fred Douglass Early Childhood Center Elizabeth sets clear expectations and integrates technology smoothly into her classroom.
