White House says deal near to reopen formula plant

WASHINGTON (AP) — Under fire from parents and politicians, President Joe Biden’s administration on Monday is expected to announce an agreement to reopen the largest domestic manufacturing plant of infant formula and to ease import rules to allow supplies in from overseas, amid a nationwide shortage spurred by the Michigan plant’s shutdown earlier this year over safety issues.

Protests surrounding Roe vs. Wade future gather in Grayson County

Members of the community on both sides of the ongoing debate on abortion and reproductive rights had their voices heard Saturday during simultaneous protests outside Grayson County Courthouse. The protests come days after an draft opinion by the U.S. Supreme Court in favor of overturning the landmark decision in Roe vs. Wade was leaked to the public ahead of a public decision.
