Griner’s detention in Moscow extended by one month MOSCOW — WNBA star Brittney Griner had her pre-trial detention in Russia extended by one month, her lawyer said. Alexander Boykov told The Associated Press he thinks the relatively short extension indicated that Griner’s case would go to trial soon.

Texas’ child welfare agency remains blocked from investigating the family of a transgender teen that sued the state in March, but can once again investigate other families that provide gender-affirming care after the Supreme Court of Texas struck down a statewide injunction Friday.
