A suspect left an area bank with money following a robbery Tuesday morning. In a news released about an hour after the event, Sherman Police said officers responded to Chase Bank in the 200 block of North Travis Street in Sherman Tuesday around 10:20 a.m. in reference to a robbery.
Anthony David Maroney, 38, of McKinney, was sentenced to 60 years in prison this week after being convicted in March of intent to deliver a controlled substance 4-200 grams methamphetamine. Maroney elected to go to the Judge Larry Phillips for punishment and Phillips sentenced Maroney as a habitual offender to 60 years in prison.
