Southmayd Police made DWI arrest

SOUTHMAYD - On Thursday, July 3, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers from the Southmayd Police Department were dispatched to a report of a reckless driver. The caller reported a vehicle driving through ditches within the city limits.Chief Laughlin and Lieutenant Aguirre responded to the scene and located the suspect vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway in the 200 block of McElroy Street.

Southeastern Center for Instructional Development and Technology honored with State Regents' award
