The Van Alstyne Police Association is continuing its fundraising efforts for a new inclusive park. Back in 2024, the Association was starting at $0 and the goal was $750,000 to get to the estimated cost of the park.


Triple-digit temperatures could be in the forecast for the first time this year
While forecasts call for hot, dry weather this weekend, meteorologists with the National Weather Service said Texoma is still seeing a relatively mild summer this year. Meteorologists with the NWS expect temperatures to rise into the mid to high 90s this weekend going into next week but noted the region has not reached triple digits yet this season.
