Dino Days brings a icy chill to the Texas summer
The Sherman Museum hopes to bring a reprieve from the Texas heat this summer when it hosts its annual Dino Days exhibits. In a departure from its normal themes, this year's event will set its focus less on the age of dinosaurs and more on the animals that lived through the ice age.

SISD pays $203k in severance to outgoing superintendent
The Sherman Independent School District Board of Trustees agreed to pay outgoing Superintendent Tyson Bennett more than $203,000 as a part of a severance package when it accepted his resignation at the beginning of the month. The Board approved the severance agreement on May 1 with a unanimous vote.

Denison approves consulting contract for Loy Lake Dam repair, improvements
Denison is moving forward with improvements and repairs to one of its newest properties. The City Council unanimously approved an $85,000 contract with Purkeypile Consulting for engineering and other services related to improvements to the Loy Lake Dam in Loy Lake Park.
