Throughout its decades of operation, the McDonald Observatory has attracted some of the most important names in twentieth-century astronomy and made important discoveries from the inner solar system to the furthest reaches of the universe.

Texoma schools discuss device restrictions for new school year

As school districts prepare for the start of the new school year, Texoma schools are preparing for new restrictions on student use of technology. Representatives for Sherman and Denison Independent School Districts are working on ways to enforce new requirements mandated by Texas House Bill 1481 that requires districts to create policies requiring students to turn off and put away personal devices during the school day.
