TxDOT assess flood control efforts following historic storms
As storm waters from heavy storms ebb, the Texas Department of Transportation and Sherman city officials are assessing the damage. Representatives for the city and TxDOT have assessed what caused significant flooding along one of the city's major corridors and the possibility of improvements to alleviate future flood risks.

Sherman approves $264k downtown utility improvement change order
Sherman's ongoing improvements to downtown utilities have been expanded to include water system upgrades. The city council approved a $264,000 change order to a contract for wastewater improvements along Travis Street to now include a relocation of water system lines along the same route.
