The McKinney Armed Services Memorial Board has announced plans to bury a time capsule on or around Veterans Day 2022 at the Collin County Veterans Memorial Park at 6053 Weiskopf Avenue in McKinney. The capsule and its contents will commemorate the dedication of the Veterans Memorial that took place on November 11, 2011, with revealing to be on November 11, 2061, a 50-year anniversary celebration.
