Moments with the minister: A consuming fire

“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28-29 Social media has been filled with news reports of thousands of people descending upon a little town, and a little Christian university in Wilmore, Kentucky. By now, most of us have heard something of what many are calling a national- revival sparked by 30 or so students on the campus of Asbury on February 8th, 2023. No matter what you believe about those events, it has caused many of us to ponder what a nation might look like if it actually turned back to God in repentance. Master Gardener: Love is in the Air

Did you participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC)? I did a few separate counts. One time an exclusive flock of 35 cowbirds landed under the feeder. SGLY: Tethered to love

You can tie a knot with numerous things, from rope to ribbons. As children, we learn to tie shoelaces. Boys becoming men are taught how to tie a Windsor knot. Crafters create knot blankets, and custom tailors tie knots to the end of sewing threads. But not all knots are formed for fashion or to fortify. Some are created from tangles, like a knot in the delicate link of a necklace or a muddle of phone and computer wires.
