SGLY: The golden feather

For as long as I can remember, I have had a quirk that occurs somewhere between wakefulness and slumber. As I drift to sleep, something funny that happened earlier in the day comes to mind. Often, I wake myself with a giggle. No matter how draining or discouraging my day may have been, once relaxed and undeterred by cognizant emotion, my thoughts seem to find a golden feather that tickles my funny bone.
