In a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century, a high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly, a charming cowboy, and Laurey, a feisty farm girl, to play out their love story.

The Denison Arts Council is proud to celebrate the success of the North Texas Art Festival, held on May 17th and 18th 2025 at the Historic Katy Depot. Following the auditions last week for Theatrick's final production of the 2024-2025 theater season, the children's acting group has announced the cast list for "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."

This week, Theatricks will be casting the roles for its next production, the last of the Sherman Community Player's children's theater's productions for the season.

In April, the Sherman Community Players released the cast list for its final production of the 76th season of the community theater.

The Austin College Wind Symphony will perform selections for The Faces of Austin College concert, which will consist of music representative of the many cultures and ethnic groups on campus in both style and by the composer. The concert will be held in Wynne Chapel on Sunday, May 4 at 3 p.m.

Deana Baker, senior entertainment manager of Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant, has been nominated for the Academy of Country Music (ACM) industry award for Don Romero Talent Buyer of the Year award. This is her first time to be nominated for an ACM.
