The Wash Factory is set to celebrate the opening of its first location in Sherman, and fifth overall, by offering free car washes from Oct. 5 through Oct. 15.

The new car wash, going up at 3603 Loy Lake Road in Sherman, will begin operation on Oct. 1. The wash will offer four tiers of service. The lowest-priced tier is a $3 package, anyone who goes through the wash during the promotion can get the $3 wash for free. Alternatively, they can get $3 off any of the three other tiers. During the promotion, customers can also use the vacuums for free at any tier.

“We’re looking forward to having a good relationship with the community. Providing customers with a service they have a need for. We want to make it easy for them,” Katie Slover, director of sales, said.

The company started in Denton 8 years ago. Soon after a second location was opened in Denton. Since then the company has expanded to include one in Crossroads, one in McKinney and now the new one coming to Sherman.

“We saw a need, with the population and the growth. There are not any other express car washes that operate the way we do. We have this at all of our locations to make it more efficient way to wash a car. At The Wash Factory, our goal is to provide a clean, convenience service to get a clean car. Being quick and convenient is important. Our vacuums are free to customers. Everything is self-serve,” Slover said.

The Wash Factory offers different tiers as well as an unlimited plan ranging from $10 to $30 per month.

“We owe a lot of our success to the support we have received from the communities in North Texas, and we’re thrilled for the opportunity to be welcomed into the Sherman community. We hope everyone in the area will stop by for a free car wash to check out our new location and see what makes us unique. We think the Sherman community will really appreciate our dedication to providing consistent and quality service at an affordable price, as well as our commitment to the community and the environment,” wrote The Wash Factory owner Brad Mann in a news release.

The company uses a reclamation process that allows them to recycle over 90 percent of the water they use. The wash also uses biodegradable chemicals in order to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

“We have a system that reclaims about 98 percent of the water. In the car wash industry becoming green is important,” Slover said.

The company is preparing to begin construction on two more washes, in Edmond, Oklahoma, and Norman, Oklahoma.
