Funeral services for Bret M. Clark will be held at 2: 00 pm, Thursday, December 29th at the Center Street Church of Christ in Sherman, Texas. The building is located at 1105 W. Center Street, Sherman, TX 75092. Evangelist Michael McCorkle will officiate. Mr. Clark passed away at his home in Sherman on Wednesday, December 14th. Bret was born on December 16, 1957, in Sherman to the late Bill and June (Smith) Clark, and graduated from Sherman High School in 1978. Bret worked at CDT Supply after graduating from high school and was elevated to president of the company in 1992.
He served as his mother’s caregiver as she battled Alzheimer’s from 2008 until her death in 2017. Bret enjoyed sports and loved the Las Vegas Raiders. He also enjoyed listening to the sports talk shows after a Dallas Cowboy loss, an experience he described as “audio gold”, due to the “sky-is-falling” tone of most callers. Bret is survived by a brother, Matt Clark and his wife Connie, four cousins, Pam Waldron and husband Danny, Marsha Rezaie and husband Hashem, Kim Roberts and husband Bruce, and Kristin Keifer and husband Matt, two step-nephews, Randy Wideman and wife Janna, Chad Wideman and wife Allison, three great step-nephews, Josh Wideman and wife Renee, JT Wideman, Brady Wideman, two great step niece, Kayla Kiyokawa and husband Connor, Abby Wideman, and six great-great step nephews or nieces.
