1961-2023

Brenda Kay Watkins, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, May 11th, 2023 in Sherman, Texas. She was 61 years old. Brenda was born on December 19, 1961 in Sherman, TX to the late Morris J Pate and Fannie Naomi (Balch) Pate.

Brenda dedicated over 30 years of her life to working at CVS, formerly known as Eckerd and Revco. Her strong work ethic and commitment to her job were evident to all who knew her.

Brenda’s faith was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Heather Stewart of Rowlett and Stephanie Young of Sherman; three grandsons, Ryley, Ayden, and Tylar of Sherman; two granddaughters, Isabelle and Alexis of Rowlett; one sister, Suzanne Raines of Kingwood; and two brothers, John David Pate of McKinney and Morris John Pate Jr. of Lindsay.

Brenda’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her. Memorial arrangements are currently pending.
