The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office has opened an investigation after multiple vehicles traveling along FM 121 in Van Alstyne Tuesday night were damaged by objects thrown from an oncoming car.

Capt. Sarah Bigham said the incidents occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Bigham said although no one was injured the person or persons responsible could still face serious charges.

“The appropriate charge would be criminal mischief and based on the amount of property damage it would be a felony charge,” Bigham said.

It was unclear how many vehicles were damaged and what type of object was thrown. Bigham said the Sheriff’s Office was still working with witnesses and victims Wednesday to identify the vehicles involved.

Anyone with information regarding the incident or whose vehicle was damaged is asked to call the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at 903-893-4388.
