DENISON — "A Sermon in Song" will be presented by Jim Scott, an acclaimed singer and songwriter, at the 11:15 a.m. service at Red River Unitarian Universalist Church on Sunday.
Scott, an accomplished guitarist in the jazz, classical and folk genres, has performed with luminaries such as John Denver, Joan Baez, Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell and Dan Fogelberg, and has done concerts across the nation and in several countries in Europe. He co-wrote the celebrated Gaia-Earth Mass and other pieces with the Paul Winter Consort. His hymns celebrating peace, justice and the earth are staples at UU churches across the country.
