Theft - A 43-year-old man on the 2300 block of West Taylor contacted police to report that four people came to his house in the early morning hours of Oct. 20, making off with his laptop sometime before 4 a.m. The man told police that a woman in the group distracted him while one of her companions pinched the computer. Officers filed a report for theft.

Theft - An unknown person pilfered a delivered package containing a silver iPhone 5 from the porch of a house on the 700 block of East College. The 28-year-old victim said the phone was taken while she was at work on Oct. 18.

Burglary - A home on the 2400 block of South First Street was allegedly burgled sometime during the last month. The 76-year-old victim told authorities that wiring, kitchen appliances, and other items were missing from the residence. Police filed a report.

Drugs - A 25-year-old man was on the wrong end of a narcotics trifecta after police say they found methamphetamine in his pocket, as well as hydrocodone and pot in his backpack. According to police reports, officers made the discovery after pulling-over the man’s car on the 1200 block of North Ross on the afternoon of Oct. 19.

Criminal Mischief - Sherman police responded to a call on the 100 block of West Belden Street, where a woman claimed her ex-boyfriend knifed her couch, punched a hole in her wall and broke a window. Law enforcement submitted a report for mischief causing more than $500 worth of damage.
