Alice Glenda Taylor was born March 26, 1938, at Murphy’s corner across from Luffy Chapel Church in Fillmore, Oklahoma. The daughter of Napoleon B. Murphy and Emma Carter Murphy. She married Leon Taylor on May 11, 1958, in Pampa, Texas. They owned and operated Dairy Queen and What-O-Burger in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She was retired from Texas Instruments in Sherman, Texas.
She is survived by her sons, Everett Glenn Taylor Sr. and wife Hilda of Bells, Texas, James Michael Taylor and Susan Hogan of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Etta Hannickel and husband Darrell Hannickel of Denison, Texas, Mollie Hope of Garland, Texas; and brother HC Carter Murphy of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Everett Glenn Taylor Jr, Abigail Taylor, Nikki Hex, Kaitlyn Bindel, Jaden Taylor, and Crimson Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband and soul mate Leon Taylor.
Officiating the service will be Brother Keith Taylor of Southside Baptist Church.
Graveside service will be at Filmore Cemetery in Filmore, Oklahoma, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 2:00 pm.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Fisher Funeral Home, 604 West Main, Denison, Texas 75020.
