Lewis Paul Faith, age 77 of Sherman, Texas passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023.
He was born in Fort Worth, TX on March 22, 1946 to Lewis Edward Faith and Elsie Lena Kinkade Faith.
Lewis graduated from Bonham High School in 1964 and was recruited as a blue-chip athlete by Texas Tech, playing first string as a defensive end. He graduated with a Business Degree from East Texas State University in 1971 and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in 1974.
In 1974, he married Janna Wald and began his business career with Frito Lay as a plant manager with three production plants in the Dallas Metro area. Later he was a plant manager for Fiesta Foods, General Manager of American Pad and Paper, Regional Manager for Tops Business Forms and Division Manager of Wallace Paper. He then worked twenty-three years as General Manager of Watkins Transportation.
Believing in volunteerism, Lewis served as Past President of Greater Texoma Utility Authority and Past President of Bonham Housing Finance Corporation.
When asked if he’d had any life changing experiences, he was quick to say serving in 1968 in Vietnam as a civilian service officer with Lear Sieglar Aviation (LSI) stationed in Vinh Long in the Mekong Delta as a logistics officer with a rank of Lt Col.
He enjoyed travel, golf and time with his family. Anyone who knew Lewis knew what a great storyteller he was.
Lewis is survived by his wife Janna, his daughter Tonya Bell and husband JR Bell, and son John Edward Faith and wife Shelby Leffingwell Faith, his granddaughters Linzie Barrera (Daniel), Giselle Navarro, Katie Stevens, grandson Jackson Aiden Faith and great grandchildren Ava and Noah Romero. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Bledsoe (Rollin), his sister-in-law Mary Wald Gunn (Lindsey), and his sister-in-law Sherry Faith along with nieces, nephew and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Elsie Faith, brother Jim Faith and great-nephew Cody Emberton.
