1942-2023
Alice Paulette Hyatt, age 80, went to her heavenly home on March 23, 2023. Paulette was born on March 24, 1942 in Bakersfield, California to Stanley and Gertrude Rains. She graduated from Victoria High School then briefly attended Victoria College. Paulette married her high school sweetheart, Lyndon Earl Hyatt on June 10, 1961, in Victoria, Texas.
Paulette decided to be a stay-at-home mom while raising her three children Danny, Laura, and David. After the children were older, she enjoyed working for the La Vernia News taking great pride in her weekly column “Notes from Wood Valley.” Later in life, she joined her husband owning and operating the Katy Antique Station in Denison.
Paulette was a long-time member of Parkside Baptist Church and was a loyal servant to God. She was active in her Sunday School class and church choir and involved in many church activities through the years.
Paulette was the most loving wife, mother, and memaw a family could ask for. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyndon and daughter, Laura Johnson. She is survived by son, Daniel Hyatt and wife, Tricia of Denison, Texas; son David Hyatt and wife, Sharon of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Luke Hyatt, Blake Hyatt, Taylor Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Nathaniel Hyatt, Gabriella Hyatt; five great grandchildren; and brother, Stanley Rains, Jr. of Corpus Christie, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2023 at Fisher Funeral Home with Bro. Delbert Vest officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Fisher Funeral Home.
