1934-2023

Dessie (Melton) Melsted was born on January 21, 1934 in Howe, Texas. She passed peacefully of natural causes on February 7, 2023 in Fair Oaks, California. Her  children and grandchildren were by her side. She is survived by her daughters Pamela (Glenn) LaBuda of Winter Haven, Fla, Bobbie (Edmond) Hofler of Fair Oaks,  Ca, grandchildren Derek Newton of Whittier, Ca, Andi (Steve) Beam of Virginia Beach, Va, great grandchildren Quynn Newton (11), Piper Beam (13),  Balen Beam (10), Holland Beam (5) and grand dog Fred (12). She had many loving relatives and lifelong friends. Her passion in life was to be a good person. She had an incredible  sense of character, integrity and wit. She was always a lady. We will miss our conversations with her, but her love will always be in our hearts.

She will be interned with her husband of 61 years, Robert P. Melsted at Woodlawn Memorial in Gotha, Florida. A memorial will be held there in Spring of
2023.
