Ronald Joseph Grosz Jr.

1968-2023

Ronald Joseph Grosz Jr. joined his heavenly father on January 1, 2023. He was born December 14, 1968, to Ronald Joseph Grosz Sr and his mother, Mary Evelyn Grosz. Being the first grandchild on both sides, he was cherished. As a young child and being in a military family, they moved quite often. But, even though they moved often, he still found little things in life that he grew to love. Little League Baseball and fishing was a passion.

His mother, Mary, can recall that if you could not find him in the yard, you could always find him down at the fishing hole sitting on the bank, holding his rod and reel. He graduated from Denison High School Class of 1987, and then joined the Navy, carrying on a family tradition. He served three years in the Persian Gulf War. After returning home to Denison, he moved to Aransas Pass, where he began his career as a Tugboat Captain. That is where he remained until his passing. Ronald was a very private man. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jody and Tommie Shires of Denison, Texas, and Joseph and Helen Grosz of Buffalo, New York.

He is survived by his parents Mary and Ronald Grosz Sr., brother Robert Grosz, sister Connie Spears three nieces, two nephews, and several aunts and uncles that will truly miss him. Graveside service for Ronald was held at 10:00a.m. Friday, January 6, 2023, at Calvary Cemetery in Denison, Texas. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home.
