Weaver, you are cordially invited to the Celebration of Sylvia Rice Weaver’s life. It will take place at the Framstead at 117 S. Franklin St. in COlbert Oklahoma, on October 16, 2022 from 4-6pm. Food will be provided.
Sylvia Jean was born November 27, 1947 in Colbert, Oklahoma to Ancel and Myrtle Rice. Sylvia passed from this earth on September 26, 2022 at her home.
She attended Colbert Schools where she was a basketball star in High School. Later in life she enjoyed playing softball with her girlfriends.
Sylvia worked for many years at Texas Instruments in Sherman, Texas.
She met Bill Weaver in June of 1996 and they were united in marriage on June 21, 2003 at Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, Texas by the Reverand James Keaton.
Together Sylvia and Bill ran a successful business, Leather, Guns etc. in COlbert for years. They made holsters for law enforcement agencies and sporting goods stores all around the country.
Sylvia is survived by her spouse of 27 years, Bill Weaver. Her son Scott and wife Janell Ross. A Stepson Jason and wife Annette Weaver. Her sister Charlotte Cole, and Aunt Barbara Carr Thomas, and her sister in law Cheryl Rice Adams. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, Amanda Valdez, Taylor Vitale, Ryan Ross, and Tori Lopez. Step grandchildren, Amelia Ruth Weaver and Bryne Bowins, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Sylvia also has several close friends that she loved as family. She will be missed by all.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents, her bother Dillard (Dickie) Rice, and her grandson Jacob Guidicy. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the Pancreatic Cancer foundation at pancan.org/donate.
