The Sherman Ex-Students Association will host its annual association luncheon and meeting on Saturday, September 27 starting at 11 a.m. at Sherman High School, 2907 W. Travis Street.
The association is dedicated to preserving the cultural and literary histories of Sherman and Fred Douglass high schools through a curated museum, as well as supporting the education of current Sherman students through involvement and scholarships. Membership is open to graduates and former students of Sherman and Fred Douglass high schools.
Each year, the annual luncheon honors distinguished former Sherman ISD students and teachers. Tickets are $20 per person and are available for purchase at the Sherman Ex-Students Association Museum, 2701 N. Loy Lake Rd. The museum is located inside the old Dillingham building, south of the Sherman ISD Service Center. Hours are Wednesdays and Fridays, noon to 3 p.m.
