End of July Grayson County indictments

Last week, the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office released a list of July indictments. Indictments are formal charges and are not an indication of guilt.

Grand jurors look at cases presented by the District Attorney’s Office to see if there is enough probable cause to bring a case to trial. If they decide there is a sufficient amount of evidence to move the case forward to court, the person is indicted. If jurors decide there is not enough evidence to move forward, the person is no billed or not indicted.

In Grayson County, a list of people indicted by each grand jury is posted on the county’s website and released to the media. The names of people who are no billed are not generally released to the public.
