Friday morning, the Texas Department of Public Safety provided updated information about a Thursday afternoon wreck that took place in Grayson County. The pedestrian involved wreck included a bicyclist from Sherman.
The incident took place around 5:49 p.m. Thursday on US Highway 69 near Starr Road.
“A preliminary investigation indicated that a bicyclist was attempting to cross the roadway and was struck by a Dodge Ram,” the release said.
The bicyclist and the driver of the Dodge Ram have been identified.
“The Dodge Ram driver, James Donihoo, a 63-year-old from Bells, TX, was not injured,” the release said.
“The bicyclist, Stephanie Stange, a 55-year-old from Sherman, TX, was transported to Texoma Medical Center, where she succumbed to the injuries sustained from the crash.”
This investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available.
