The Sherman Police Department has confirmed that two children have died following being found in an apartment complex swimming pool Wednesday.

In a phone call just before 2 p.m. Wednesday, an SPD spokesperson said the department received a 9-1-1 call around 11:59 a.m. from the Ridgeview Apartment Complex located in the 1800 block of West Washinton about two children who were found the complex’s pool. The attendant who found the children removed the children from the pool and EMS were called.

The two 3-year-old siblings were transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.

The incident is still under investigation.
