The Sherman Economic Development Corporation recently update incentive agreements who two food manufacturers with plans to start production in Sherman. During its September meeting, the SEDCO board agreed to increase incentives for Easy Foods — a tortilla chip maker — and Molinos USA, who plans to operate a corn meal operation in Sherman.

One of the county's biggest expenses to its general fund is the pay it gives to its employees. Tuesday commissioners approved salary orders for the new fiscal year which began on Wednesday.
