A recently announced local class is aiming to help people learn more about managing type 2 diabetes.

They say that knowledge is power, and reading has always been one of the best ways to gain knowledge. With that in mind, I hoped to pass on that power this week when I volunteered to read to Sherman students during the third annual Dr. Hicks Literacy Day.
