On Saturday, February 15, 2025, the heroic contributions of the men and women from the American Revolution will be honored by dedicating an impressive American 250 Patriots Marker at 11:00 a.m. at Leonard Park in Gainesville.

Baylen Marianan, Wyatt King and Dallas Peavey, of Tom Bean representing Tom Bean FFA, earned Reserve Champion of the Agricultural Machinery & Equipment Division and second in Truck and Other Agricultural Equipment Accessories with their replacement truck bed at the 2025 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) Junior Agricultural Mechanics Project Show. They took home a total of $1,390 including a $750 bonus courtesy of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and Priefert Manufacturing..

Competitors from school districts all over Grayson County came to the Scott Middle School gym to compete in the annual Special Olympics basketball meet. Olympians competed in skill drills designed to demonstrate their ball handling, dribbling and shooting abilities.
