The Sherman Economic Development Corp. is modifying an agreement with a potential supplier for the city's burgeoning semiconductor industry.

A new playground in Sherman may soon offer fun and activities for Sherman children of all skill levels and abilities, The city came together with the Sherman Noon and Evening Lions Clubs Tuesday to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a new inclusive playground in Pecan Grove Park East. The playground, which is a joint project by the Lions Clubs and the city, will feature equipment that is designed to be accessible by wheelchair, feature low-profile design, and offer other features that officials hope will appeal to all residents.

This week, Grayson County commissioners approved the final obligation of the American Rescue Plan funds as scheduled. With the deadline to have the money obligated approaching, commissioners unanimously voted to commit with the Department of Treasury to the Grayson County jail expansion.
