Plans for a new school campus will make their way before the Sherman Planning and Zoning Commission. Representatives for Sherman Independent School District will present plans and permit requests for the district's new early childhood center to the commission in hopes of receiving approval when it meets at 5 p.m.

The following letters to Santa were mailed from the Denison Santa's Letters mailbox at EyeCare Texoma formerly Nietling Optical. Letters can still be mailed from the mailbox at 417 W. Main Street in Denison.

Texoma and Grayson County may get some relief from drought-like conditions this week. Meteorologists for the National Weather Service are predicting multiple chances for rainfall over the weekend and into early next week.

The Grayson County Health Department recently released information related to food safety inspections that took place during the month of November. All of the grades released were for restaurants that earned "A" and "B" grades.

One of the best ways to gather information in the learning process is to go straight to the pros. Recently, Denison High School and Scott Middle School media and broadcast studies students got to do just that.

Career and technical education courses open doors for Sherman ISD students in a wide variety of future careers, giving them the opportunity to earn college credit, industry-based certifications and participate in professional internships with local businesses and organizations. Two Sherman High School seniors are gaining invaluable experience this year interning with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office through the law enforcement program of study.
