At a time of the year when many people think about being home for the holidays, many in Grayson County find themselves facing the threat of homelessness.
The Salvation Army annually helps nearly 24 million Americans overcome poverty, addiction and economic hardships through a range of social services. Founded in London in 1865, The Salvation Army quickly circled the globe, going into the streets to minister to the poor and destitute, and now serves in 127 countries.

The city of Denison is moving forward with plans to issue nearly $57.9 million on bonds for upcoming projects early next year. The City Council unanimously agreed to issue notice of the city's intent to issue the bonds when it met earlier this month.
