RMA OKs federal funds for NTRA taxiway expansion
North Texas Regional Airport — Perrin Field may soon see new infrastructure improvements along its southeast side. The Grayson County Regional Mobility Authority voted last week to pursue federal funding for the development of a multi-phase taxiway project that would extend access to southeastern portions of the airport.


Army worms invade Grayson County
If you have seen tiny worms crawling across hot surfaces like driveways and sidewalks, then you have noticed the invasion of the army worms. The worms, known as the army worms, are the moth larvae or caterpillar.

Open Mic Night at the Creative Arts Center
The Creative Arts Center will be hosting an Open Mic Night on Friday, August 16. All are welcome to come sing, play an instrument, recite some poetry, tell a few jokes or otherwise entertain. Alternatively, all are also welcome to come to cheer on the performers. Free admission. Family friendly. Donations will be encouraged. Light refreshments will be provided and guests are welcome to bring their favorite beverages. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and the show will start at 7 p.m.
