Good Morning: Sharing your stories

This past weekend I was wondrously surprised by the way our story on Gunter baton twirling whiz kid Analeia Aleman took off on our social media platforms. Lots of people shared that story and commented on it. That tickles me pink because not only is she a great little twirler, I love to get to tell stories about youngsters doing the things that thrill them and make them want to reach for the stars whether that is achieving academics success or competing in some physical activity.

Multiple sclerosis course is hard to predict

DEAR DR. ROACH: I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis two months ago. I spent the past week hospitalized after an exacerbation during a shower, when my legs turned to jelly and I could not walk or even stand. I have a lot to learn about my disease. Are these incidents common? I’ll be starting Ocrevus infusions in the next month or two. I am home and mobile now, using a wheeled walker. Am I permanently disabled? -- M.K.

At the movies: You Hurt My Feelings Review

There’s some real confidence underlining the marital ups and downs dominating the plot of You Hurt My Feelings. Writer/director Nicole Holofcener, much like she did with her 2013 feature Enough Said, is enough of a champion of small-scale situations and incidental forms of conflict that she never feels the need to blow up this world into contrived melodrama.
