Yellow Wart, Yellow Patches, or Yellow Dust Amanita. The Amanita flavoconia mushrooms are very common east of the Rocky Mountains. They surface late spring to early summer after rains. The cap is orange- yellow with small yellowish flaky patches. The stem is white to light yellow and the base ends in a small bulb. The spore print is white. To identify this schroom, look for bits of powdery universal veil still attached to the base of the stem.
