DEAR DR. ROACH: My 73-year-old husband was just hospitalized for an emergency appendectomy. Pre-surgery, he had a low-grade fever and some stomach tenderness -- symptoms that he thought was a stomachache. He had not eaten or slept very much for a couple of days. The surgeon said he had an abscess on his appendix.
DEAR ABBY: I recently was told that my late fatherin-law was a serial child abuser who molested his daughter and at least two of his grandchildren. My husband loved and deeply respected his parents. Should I tell my husband this information? Should I ask my grown son if he was also molested as his cousins were? I don’t want to “rock the boat,” but I want to do what is best for my son, and I’m not used to keeping things from my husband. -- WISH I DIDN’T KNOW

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office received permission Tuesday to seek $18,800 in grant funds to do testing on evidence in an unsolved triple homicide from 2010. The grant submission will go to Season of Justice which is a “nonprofit dedicated to providing funding for investigative agencies and families to help solve cold cases,” according to its website.
In a news release issued Tuesday, the Texas Department of Transportation released information related to road projects taking place in Grayson and Fannin counties this week. “These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues,” the release said.

While crews work throughout 2023 to finish improvements to U.S. Highway 75, the city of Sherman is preparing for the next step of upgrades. The Sherman City Council recently unanimously voted to contribute right of way funds to the Texas Department of Transportation for future upgrades to the highway.
