The North Central Texas Chorale will host its May 2023 Concert next month. The program will be titled, “From Broadway to Heaven.” This is a delightful presentation of Broadway musicals and some are well known.

Sherman High School Alumni David Tarvin is one of three candidates that are competing for a seat on the Sherman Independent School District Board of Trustees this spring. When voters hit the polls on May 6, they will decide if Tarvin, Billy Minor or Jon Hill should represent the community for Place 6 on the school board.

Youth Football Coach Billy Minor is seeking a seat on the Sherman Independent School District Board of Trustees. Minor is one of three candidates who hope to win the Place 6 seat on the board during this year’s spring elections.

A Bells FFA member was recently awarded a Fort Worth Stock Show scholarship. In a news release issued Thursday, the stock show announced that Ansley Campbell took seventh place in the show’s 15th annual Heifer Superintendent’s Beef Challenge.

Long-time Educator Jon Hill is one three candidates who is seeking an open seat on the Sherman Independent School District School Board of Trustees. When voters hit the polls on May 6, they will decide if Hill, David Tarvin, or Billy Minor should represent the community for Place 6 on the school board.

A Texas Department of Transportation roadway improvement project on US Highway 82 between FM 131 and Cooke County line began April 13. A news release from TxDot said the project would take Stateline Construction LLC, Texarkana about 319 working days and will cost about $5.8 million.
