A wet week ahead for North Texas

Hopefully local folks haven’t packed away all of their hoodies just yet because this last week of April is liable to feel more like early March. High temperatures in the 60s and lows in the 40s along with plenty of rain will have Texomaland feeling the chill at least one more time before the heat sets in.

Note: This story first appeared in a January edition of the newspaper Voters will decide if Sherman Independent School District should issue up to $540 Million in debt for new facilities, renovations and other improvements when they hit the polls this election season. The SISD school board voted unanimously to call for two bond elections related to the proposed $540 million list of proposed improvement projects.

Dear Abby: I’d like some advice about a family situation that has been going on for the entire 34 years of my marriage. My husband is not kind to my now-grown sons. He gives me the silent treatment for weeks over small disagreements. My eldest son visited us for my 75th birthday and, after receiving my spouse’s cold shoulder, he informed me he won’t be visiting again because of my husband’s rude behavior.
