BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) — Tom Cruise was honored for his nearly three decades of work as a producer, and “ Everything Everywhere All at Once ” solidified its status as the frontrunner for the best picture Oscar by taking the top prize at Saturday night’s Producers Guild of America Awards.

CONNIE JOYCE SCOTT

Connie Joyce Scott, 66, of Whitesboro, Texas was called to her eternal home on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Connie was born on May 14, 1956 to Frances and Margaret (Norris) Taylor. Connie always had a heart to help people and she channeled that passion into taking care of people by working in the home health field. She loved people and loved being able to help them and support them through her work. She enjoyed watching the Cowboys play football and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, James Worley and wife, Sonya of Whitesboro; daughters, Stephanie Sutton of Sherman; and Samantha Scott and husband, Philip Davis of Denison; grandchildren, Ethan Worley, Claire Worley, Alison Mitchell, Ava Mitchell, Jeffrey Sutton, Jayden Atkinson, and Alexander Atkinson; and brother, Donald Taylor of Whitesboro, as well as other numerous loving family and friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Margaret Taylor, husband, Dennis Scott, stepson, Jason Scott, and brothers, Ronald and Michael Taylor. Funeral services honoring Connie will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Meador Funeral home of Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Rick Carney. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Meador in Whitesboro.

1932-2023 Millie Ann (Baker) Thompson of Denison, Texa s pa s s ed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Celebrations Assisted Living Facility at the age of 91. She was born February 17, 1932, to Joseph and Jimmie Broughton Baker in Southmayd, Texas.
